Postcard from the sludge

I'm still on vacation and, most importantly, so is my brain, so I think this will be the last update of the week. I hate to underachieve and not devote hours of my week to spewing nonsense about pop-culture trash, but I'm just too wrapped up in the state of derisive amazement that my home state provokes in me. With the help of a work schedule and perhaps some Dual Action Cleanse, I should be regular next week. (Besides, that's when ProjRun starts and I get to be a slaaaaaave 4 u all over again.)

Before I go, here's a shot I took of a firework lit by my friend Kate that didn't take off. Some good did come of it, though:

If all you've got is "oooh...shiny" then you are definitely on vacation. Enjoy the rest of your vacation. Can't wait to have you back at full strength so you can "bleed for us hoes" with some ProjRun recaps. My crappy ass cable doesn't get Bravo so I depend on you for my fix.

I'm hoping you have a Chunk Watch 2006 post for us next week! I'm on vacation too this week - opposite coast. If I had more balls I would've taken pix of the local SoCal chunk and sent it to you, but I'm too shy! Anyway, have a blast everybody... ain't summer grand?!

I was wondering where the chunk love was, it is after all summer and that's when the best displays of chunk are on.

I would say the fireworks are more "sparkly" then "shiny" but I'm not on vacation...

i was too busy running away drunkenly to see how shiny it was. glad that it was captured so i could see what i risked my fingertips for.
