I won't have this week's ANTM recap up till tomorrow. Sorry! It happens. In the meantime, here's a little something touching on the theme of this week's episode. And don't worry -- I'm not in it.

Your VH1 blog interviews with Heather and Daisy were enough to satisfy me for awhile. Anything else would be icing on the cake. I can only hope that VH1 is smart enough to give Heather her own show, of any kind. She is totally entertaining!

God, I miss the sweet, innocent days of a wholesome Paul Reubens.

Inspired by Jambi yesterday?
Anyway, I won't scream. At least not at you due to the lack of recap today. Maybe about how many damn times abroad was said this episode. Who even uses that noun that often. I mean, daaaamn.

That was great! Looking forward to tomorrow's recap, especially if you talk about Tyra and Jay going on about responsibility to Fatima who WAS being responsible by keeping her appointment so she could get her papers to go ABROAD! *SCREAMING* (couldn't resist).
Love you, signed a broad who lives abroad *scream*

Plenty of broads in that clip.
Very funny!

I couldn't figure out why they had to keep saying "abroad". Why not an occasional "overseas" or something? The only more irritating phrase was "travel documents". wtf Fatima? Can't you call it a friggin passport or visa or something?
And nice work on jezebel. I laughed my ass off.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought it strange that they over-used the "abroad" term. Why? I just don't get it. I guess that's what keeps me coming back week after week!
Take your time! We'll love it when see it!

Ninth! Uh. maybe.
Go to my website, heh heh

Totally agree. The words "abroad" and "travel documents" make me want to hang myself now.

I AM upset! Your recaps are the only thing that make my Mondays bearable. This is unacceptable. : P
I was soooo annoyed with the word "abroad." It reminds me of "study abroad" and we all know that models don't study.

oh my lord youre gifted

Fatima's pix rock but she is ugly as seen. She was NOT responsible. She should have gotten her documents in order before applying to the show and if she couldnt (for whatever reason)she should have informed someone a long time ago. Doing all this last minute is not responsible.

They kept saying "Overseas" in older ANTM's, perhaps they've chosen "abroad" this time because they might go all the way to CANADA in some cycle. Ha!
Posted by: Dabitch | April 21, 2008 at 11:41 AM
Well I can't really think of a better alternative. "Overseas" precludes the possibility of Mexico, or, um, Moosejaw! I'm still holding my breath.

best. post. ever.

You can't go to the "abroad location", Tyra, because abroad isn't an adjective.
Scream real loud while you can because the language police don't put up with that kind of foolishness in the Guantanamo of Grammar.

Was it just me or was Lauren's cocktail party look totally Heather McNamara at Heather Chandler's funeral?

I agree that Fats was being responsible--it's Tyra who wanted to edit her to make her look irresponsible. Fats was working with her lawyer to get whatever she needed to get out of the US--I've heard that it takes a while to try to prove that you're you if you're not a US citizen. (Fats is, in her words, a refugee.) Fats just couldn't get the documents until this episode was shot.
What I still don't get, however, is why Fats couldn't stay in the loft while the other girls went to the shoot--I have a feeling that the shoot was much farther away from the loft than Fats' consulate.

That word has now lost all meaning to me...
Can't wait for the recap!
