Given my love of editing and cliches, this was probably inevitable: a montage of contemporary horror and suspense cinema's go-to roadblock, non-working cell phones. I'm probably more psychotic than your average horror villain for sifting through this crap and compiling this (66 movies are included!). At the same time, the fact that I couldn't include cellular mishaps in still-in-theaters fare like Jennifer's Body and The Final Destination is killing me. So, you know, at least I'm balanced.
Thank You! You are brilliant. Love it all "No bars, I hate the south!"

lmfao @ the end, "can you hear me now, wtf, was that eric?!"
do these people not read scripts before they take these shit roles???
i had a feeling cellular would be in this video.

Loved it! If only Nancy had used a cell phone instead of a landline in A Nightmare on Elm Street/New Nightmare...

That was AWESOME.

I can't believe you got almost 5 minutes out of that. I wonder how much that amounts to in product placement revenue.

So the only recent horror movie in which a cell phone actually works is the movie in which your cell phone can kill you. (That would be Pulse.)
Niiiiiiice.

"CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW WTF!"

OMG, I'm so overly excited that you included Paul James (the black guy from Cry Wolf) in this montage. I'm friends with his sister! I have to send this to the both of them. Hahahaha!

If it's product placement shouldn't cell phone companies be concerned that horror movies and thrillers keep insisting that cell phone coverage is pathetic? What kind of ad is that?
Also, I'm waiting for the movie where the cell phone works, the character hiding from the bad guy calls 911, and then the phone makes that stupid siren noise (so you don't accidentally dial it without knowing...so stupid) which alerts the bad guy to their location.
(I liked that movie Cellular)

Josh Hartnett seemed really disturbed by the burned cell phones.

I spent five minutes of my life watching this, and I don't regret it.

I think they did have a cell phone block scene in FD4...it was with the chick in the car lol

True! I never thought I would ever see House of Wax, but I did not count on your clipping prowess. Also, did I miss "What Lies Beneath"? Don't remember seeing it in there, but if I remember correctly, the end kind of centered on Michelle Pfeiffer driving over a bridge trying to get reception.

Hugs and Kisses to you both :)
PS
I'm not a horror movie fan but I'm amazed how you found 5 minutes worth of clips

This is AWESOME. Also, I know Collateral isn't technically a horror film (it's a thriller, I guess?) but it has a combined no signal AND low battery scene nearish the end.

This was very cool and yet so sad (the fact that I've seen all these SHIT movies!)

Ah, the cellphone: bane of the modern genre screenwriter.
I'm surprised no-one's used 'I'm outta minutes!' yet.
