Is Cher the most 10-minutes-able star in the world? I think so.
This, by the way, comes from Becoming Chaz, the doc about her transgender son's transition that aired Tuesday on OWN. I fucking loved it (some rambling thoughts here). All the sandwiches alone made it the doc for me (Chaz literally said, "Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. You make such good sandwiches," at one point!). I love sandwiches, too. We aren't as different as we think we are.
As sad as it is to see some of the comments on your article on the TV Guide site (though, honestly, what else would you expect from the general public?), I can be optimistic in that at least those people have been exposed to your writing and therefore a perspective that challenges theirs. Just continue being your awesome self, approaching topics of sexuality in your usual, thoughtful, tactful way, and maybe it'll get through to them.

I'm pretty sure that blinking is the only movement her face is capable of making.

This is kinda funny, I think the video is fake, like it was edited or something. Hehehe

I really hope Rich comes back to do reviews for ANTM all-stars... This blog/site is really boring without those reviews...

denver - um, duh? It's looped, which is obvious, and it's not trying to be 'genuine either.'
Anyway, love your post on TV Guide. The comments have been similar on the OWN facebook page during the various posts about it. It's surprising to see so many people so angry over it - these 'hardcore' oprah fans who are middle-america - and yet they still dont practice tolerance, which has always been a major part of Oprah's persona. oh well. the documentary was excellent, the doc club special after was also informative, and i'm glad Chaz took the 'story' away from the tabloids and delivered it with respect and honesty that makes him and the whole ordeal become as human as it actually is. I think this will help generations to come.

beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful BURLESQUE!!!
PS - the comments on that TV Guide blog are frightening! WTF?!?!?! The comments are similar to some of the contestant's reactions to Lady Gaga last week on American Idol. (Eye roll, get f&*ked, change the channel).

That expression and the way she blinks looks like a character from The Simpsons.

I enjoyed your article, and I also liked the documentary. I grew up watching Sonny & Cher. I am happy for Chaz, that he is finally feeling comfortable in his own skin. If his openess and honesty helps one person to better understand what it's like to be transgendered, and well he already did, because he helped me to understand it better.
